Getting recognised

The role of our Networks volunteers is crucial to IOSH. So much is achieved through your dedication and enthusiasm, it’s important that you have your commitment, passion and skills recognised.

There are a number of award programmes, outlined below, that acknowledge and celebrate these valuable contributions. We know that there are some amazing projects, events and other activities happening all around our Networks across the world. So why not raise your Network’s profile and get your hard work recognised by entering one of these awards?

National Food and Drink Industry Health and Safety Awards.
An annual award sponsored by IOSH’s Food and Drink Group which aims to recognise organisations and projects that have produced a practical solution to, and made a positive impact on, a safety and health problem in the food and drink industry. The awards are announced during IOSH’s National Food and Drink Manufacturing Conference. For more details on how to enter, please see the International Food and Drink Awards.

International Railway Group Award in Health and Safety Improvement.

Anyone involved in the railway sector worldwide can enter as an individual or as a team and the winner is announced at the Rail Industry Conference in London. For more details on how to enter, please see the the International Railway Group Award 2017.

Presidents Distinguished Service Awards.
The Presidents Distinguished Service Awards (PDSAs) are presented throughout the year as a mark of appreciation of the work carried out by individual IOSH members. The award is given to those who have made a significant contribution to IOSH and its Networks, or to practitioners who have made a significant contribution to improving the profession. A panel chaired by the President judges the suitability of the application and determines the level of the award. For more information on the entry criteria, please see these guidelines on the PDSA.

The Excellence Awards.
The Excellence Awards are aimed at our Networks. The awards recognise the valuable work and outstanding contributions from the volunteers throughout the IOSH Network. The awards are now open for 2019, find out more on the IOSH website.
